Thanks to Jehovah!

“Give thanks to Jehovah, for he is good.”—PS. 106:1.

People in these last days have become increasingly unthankful. (2 Tim. 3:2) Many take their blessings for granted. Influenced by the commercial world and its advertising, millions of people strive to obtain more instead of being content with what they have. I too can be affected by this unappreciative spirit. Like the ancient Israelites, I could become ungrateful and lose appreciation for my precious relationship with Jehovah and for the blessings that I have received from him.—Ps. 106:7, 11-13. When I do undergo difficult trials, I could easily become overwhelmed and lose sight of my blessings. (Ps. 116:3)

What blessings from Jehovah are you thankful for?

For what am I particularly thankful to Jehovah?
  • Thanks for my precious relationship with Jehovah
  • Thanks for the forgiveness that I receive thru Christ’s ransom sacrifice
  • Thanks for the gift of life …I seek divine guidance so that I may live continually in a manner worthy  of God’s approval
  • Thanks for the special gift-The Bible-that gives me comfort and hope during my trials in life
  • Thanks for the privilege of being God’s co-worker in spreading the good news of God’s kingdom
  • Thanks for God’s holy spirit that helps me bear the Christian values I need to face the daily challenges in my life.
  • Thanks for all of Jehovah’s provisions which I need in order to serve Him faithfully
  • Thanks for my beloved wife and family
  • Thanks for my spiritual brothers and sisters

JEHOVAH, the Giver of “every good gift and every perfect present,” is indeed worthy of my thanks. (Jas. 1:17) As my loving Shepherd, he tenderly cares for all my physical and spiritual needs. (Ps. 23:1-3) He has proved to be my “refuge and strength”—especially in times of distress! (Ps. 46:1) Surely I have many reasons to agree wholeheartedly with the psalmist who wrote: “Give thanks to Jehovah, for he is good; his loyal love endures forever.”—Ps. 106:1.
